II-ELECTRONICS

II.1. GENERAL PURPOSE
Teaching in electrical engineering aims to train teachers in the domain of electrical engineering with the knowledge and skills required to meet the advances in technology education. Students will learn the techniques of design and implementation. They must take on a variety of concepts in the discipline of electronics.

  1. 2. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
    At the end of the program the graduates should be able to:
  • Teach in technical colleges and high schools
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills in Electronics
  • Install and maintain electronic systems
  • Design and build electronics devices or components
  • Research on innovative pedagogies and technologies

II.3. TERMS OF ADMISSION
II.3.1.DIPET 1
Admission into Level100

May be admitted into the first-year undergraduate (DIPET I) program in Electronics candidates that meet the requirements of the competitive entrance examinations. .
Admission into Level 300
May be admitted into the first-year undergraduate (DIPET I) program in Electronics candidates that meet the requirements of the competitive entrance examinations. .
II.3.2. DIPET 2

Admission into Level 400
May be admitted into the first-year postgraduate (DIPET II) program in Electronics candidates that meet the requirements of the competitive entrance examinations.

The transition from Level 300 of the DIPET I cycle directly into Level 400 of the DIPET II cycle is regulated by a special text of the Minister of Higher Education.
II.4. CONDITIONS OF PROMOTION

II.4.1 DIPET I
Promotion to Level 200

May be admitted to level 200, students who must have completed and passed at less 75% credits of Level 100.
Promotion to Level 300
May be admitted to level 300, students who must have completed and passed at less 75% credits of Level 200 and 100% of the credits of level 100.
II.4.2 DIPET II
Promotion to Level 500

May be admitted to level 500, students who must have completed and passed at least 75% credits of Level 400
II.5. AWARD OF DIPLOMAS

II.5.1 DIPET I (UGDTE)

May be admitted to DIPET I students admitted into the first year of the first cycle and that completed and passed 180 credits or admitted into the third year of the first cycle and that completed and passed 60 credits.

II.5.2 DIPET II (PGDTE)

May be admitted to DIPET II students admitted into the first year of the second cycle and that completed and passed 120 credits.
