a.2.1) Profile of students, option Fundamental Computer Science

 

Admission requirements: For entry into the first cycle, candidate should possess any of the following qualifications:
– GCE A level with at least two subjects (Mathematics + physique or Mathematic + Chemistry);

  • GCE technical A level ;
  • Baccalauréat C, D, E and TI ;
  • Baccalauréat technique (F2, F3);
  • Brevet de Technicien (MAV, MISE, MEM) ;

Graduation requirements: For the award of DIPET I, students must complete university course requirements, core courses, complementary courses and professional courses amounting to at least 180 credits.

Remark: For HND/BTS candidates, they must complete university course requirements, core courses, complementary courses and professional courses amounting to at least 60 credits.

 

Admission requirements: For entry into the second cycle, candidate should possess any of the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer science, Mathematics or Physics;
  • Professional degree in computer science ;
  • Degree (Licence) in Computer science, Mathematics or Physics.

Graduation requirements: For the award of DIPET II, students must complete university course requirements, core courses, complementary courses and professional courses amounting to at least 120 credits.

 

a.2.2) Profile of students, option Information and Communication Technology

 

Admission requirements: For entry into the first cycle, candidate should possess any of the following qualifications:
– GCE A level in any two subjects ;

  • GCE technical A level ;
  • A Baccalauréat (Each baccalauréat is welcome)

Graduation requirements: For the award of DIPET I, students must complete university course requirements, core courses, complementary courses and professional courses amounting to at least 180 credits.

Remark: For HND/BTS candidates, they must complete university course requirements, core courses, complementary courses and professional courses amounting to at least 60 credits.

 

Admission requirements: For entry into the second cycle (Information and Communication technology), candidate should possess any of the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in arts, sciences or social-sciences;
  • All degrees (Licences) ;
  • All professional or technical degrees.

Graduation requirements: For the award of DIPET II, students must complete university course requirements, core courses, complementary courses and professional courses amounting to at least 120 credits.

 

 

a.3) Objectives of the programme

At the end of all cycles, computer science teachers should be able to:

  • Appropriately integrate technology into teaching practices;
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate lessons in computer science and related subjects in the secondary school, on the satisfaction of Ministry of Secondary Education school administration;
  • Work in a team to improve and share all acquired teaching techniques;
  • Integrate into the community (collaborating with colleagues, respecting the regulation and governing the profession);
  • Act as Information Technology solutions provider.

 

a.4) Language of instruction

The language of instruction is as defined by the decree creating and organizing University of Bamenda.
