A- OPTION INFORMATION

  1. Mission Statement

The mission of the Option of Agricultural Education is to enable qualified agronomists and others with postgraduate qualifications in Agriculture acquire professional skills in the teaching of Agriculture in Secondary and High schools.

 

  1. General Objective:

The Head of State has underscored the fact that Agriculture remains one of the largest and diverse components of the economy of this country and the world. The programme for Agricultural Education is designed to implement this vision by training Agriculture teachers who will prepare high school students to either enter the dynamic industry of agriculture to be self-employed or continue to advanced institutions leading to agricultural careers.

 

  1. CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION

Holders of Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or equivalent are admitted into the 1st year (Level 400) of the second cycle through a Competitive Entrance Examination.

 

  1. OBTENTION OF END OF COURSE DIPLOMA DIPET II

Qualification for the award of DIPET II, is that the student must validate ALL (100 %) of the courses taught in levels 400 and 500.

 

Course Requirements

A total of at least 120 credits are required to complete the DIPET II diploma in Agronomy at the Higher Technical Teacher Training College (HTTTC) Bambili of the University of Bamenda.
